§ 1. General provisions
1. This cookie policy explains which cookies www.eltrike.eu sets, for what purpose and how you can manage them. It supplements the Privacy policy, which describes how we process personal data.
§ 2. What cookies are
1. Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device. They usually contain the name of the site they come from, how long they are kept and a unique identifier.
2. Session cookies are deleted when you close the browser; persistent cookies are deleted after a set time or when you delete them yourself.
§ 3. Which cookies we use
1. We use only cookies that are necessary for the site to work — for login, the cart, purchases and form protection. They do not require your consent, because the site could not work without them:
- session identifier — keeps you logged in and keeps your cart during a visit; expires when the browser is closed, and the session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity;
- REMEMBERME — remembers your login, only if you tick “Remember me on this device”; 30 days; contains your account identifier;
- shop_cart_state — contents of your cart; 7 days;
- portal_consent — your choice in the cookie banner; 365 days;
- form protection (a cookie with the __Host- prefix) — protects against requests forged in your name; until the end of the session.
2. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Our visit statistics work without cookies — they are described in § 8 of the Privacy policy.
§ 4. Third-party cookies
1. The payment page loads the PayPal script, which may set its own cookies under PayPal’s policy.
2. Videos from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode), Vimeo, TikTok and Instagram play only after you click. From then on the platform may set its own cookies.
3. YouTube video thumbnails are loaded from Google’s servers when the page is displayed; your browser then passes your IP address and browser information to Google. Details are in § 6 of the Privacy policy.
§ 5. The cookie banner and your choice
1. On your first visit the banner asks for consent to additional cookie categories: analytics and marketing. The site currently uses no cookies in these categories — we record your choice in advance, in case we ever add them, and only then will it matter.
2. We store your choice in the portal_consent cookie for 365 days. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link in the page footer. If we change this policy in a way that requires a new decision, the banner will appear again.
3. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data;
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data;
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
4. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent login and purchases.
§ 6. Server logs
1. The server records information about requests: the time, the address of the page visited, the IP address and browser and system information. We use it only to administer the site and keep it secure. Technical logs are kept for up to 90 days and the security log for 24 months.
§ 7. Changes and contact
1. We update this policy when the way we use cookies or the law changes. The date of the last change is shown at the top of this page.
